Soto Mie

Soto is a soup of chicken or beef. There are so many varieties of Soto (Soto Kudus, Soto Ayam, Soto Banjar, Soto Bandung, Soto Kikil, Soto Padang, Soto Ambengan, Soto Makassar, etc.). Soto from Jakarta called Soto Betawi uses coconut milk.

But there's also Soto from Jakarta that doesn't use coconut milk which called as Soto Mie.

Rujak Cingur

As most of you know rujak (Malaysian term is Rojak) is fruit salad - slices of assorted tropical fruits eaten with brown sugar and chilli.

Then in Indoneisa we called our vegetable salad eaten with peanut sauce as Gado-gado.

This afternoon, I had rujak cingur which is a special rujak from East Java (actually it's like mixed rujak and gado-gado, it has fruit and also vegetable).

What is special of this rujak cingur? *wink*

"Cingur" means nose in Javanese, the main ingridients of rujak cingur also contains slices of cooked buffalo's or cow's nose!
